LONGCHAMP & ANAKA: FLYING THE FLAG FOR CRAFTSWOMEN TOGETHER
Follow Sophie Delafontaine into the Longchamp workshops, the beating heart of our Maison. In this film, Longchamp's artistic director engages in inspiring dialogue with the Maison's craftswomen and those of the Anaka association in Madagascar. Through their exchanges, a common thread emerges: the importance of craftsmanship and passing it on. This coming-together resulted in a new edition of the Le Pliage Filet bag being born. More than just an accessory, this iconic piece represents both the protection of expert craftsmanship and the brand's unwavering commitment to women all over the world.

The hat and Filet bag tell the story of women with different skills, all working on the same product. For the Filet bag, on the one hand, Madagascan craftswomen work the raffia material to order, then Longchamp's teams take over, adding the leather details. It's the result of a real, authentic partnership

Establishing an optimistic, ethical partnership
Establishing an optimistic, ethical partnership
The NGO Anaka, founded in 2018, works to improve the living standards of women in Madagascar by promoting their access to stable employment. This work not only enables these women to be financially independent, but also supports their children's education. These values resonate with the Longchamp Family's guiding principles, which put human engagement at the heart of the brand's development.
Through this partnership, Longchamp proves that fashion really can be a powerful driver of change by bringing creative curiosity and sustainability together. Straddling the fine line between heritage and modern style, the Maison continues to write new chapters in its history to create a more sustainable future.
