INTRODUCTION

We recognize the importance of providing a website that is inclusive and available for all user groups. This page is a user guide for the site.

To check the accessibility rating of this site, please consult the declaration of conformity.

This page explains:

  • Our approach to making this website accessible;
  • The features provided to enhance the site’s accessibility;
  • What to do if you have any questions or feedback for us.

The Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) defines web accessibility as:

Web accessibility means that people with disabilities can use the Web. More specifically, Web accessibility means that people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the Web, and that they can contribute to the Web. Web accessibility also benefits others, including older people with changing abilities due to aging. Web accessibility encompasses all disabilities that affect access to the Web, including visual, auditory, and physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. APPROACH

This site has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. The site displays correctly in current browsers and using standards compliant HTML/CSS code means any future browsers will also display it correctly. While this website strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility. SITE LAYOUT

MAIN NAVIGATION BAR

The site is divided into 5 sections, each accessible from the main navigation bar:

OTHER MEANS OF NAVIGATION

  • A menu on the top left of the page linking to the Store Locator.
  • A menu on the top right of the page to access the Search Bar and linking to My Account and Bag.

HEADER NAVIGATION

  • The level 1 header is the main site’s header.
  • The level 2 header links to product categories.

Header navigation is supported by the majority of assistive technologies and browsers. Most screen readers provide a feature to jump to the next header.        

KEYBOARD NAVIGATION FOR INTERACTIVE COMPONENTS

Some components of the site use JavaScript technology. The structures of these components are scheduled to be adapted for keyboard navigation in compliance with international recommendations. Users of screen readers should access these components in form mode (or activate form mode when viewing them) to avail of their predictive function, as recommended in the user guides (currently in production).

KEYBOARD ACCESS

We have provided ‘skip to main content’ links to allow direct access past the navigation menu to the page’s main content.

TEXT SIZE

You can vary the text size by using your browser’s text resize option: View – Text Size or Zoom in/ out.

TEXT EQUIVALENTS

People who either can't see images or hear audio may need some form of a text equivalent to interact with our sites. We’re working to ensure all of our images and multimedia are fully accessible through alternative text.

HEADING ELEMENT

HTML heading elements have been used to represent page structure, supporting assistive technologies that allow page navigation from heading to heading.

LINK TEXT

All hyperlinks should make sense when read out of context, and hyperlinks are clearly presented in a different text style from normal body text.

STYLE SHEETS

We have used Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to control the presentation of pages and have used properly structured markup for content. If style sheets are not supported or are turned off, information on the site can still be accessed and read.

DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY

A NOTE ON THIS DOCUMENT

The declaration of conformity is considered valid with respect to the latest version of the French government’s General Accessibility Reference for Administrations (RGAA) available on the upload date. Upon publication of a new version of RGAA, any declaration linked to a prior version shall be rendered invalid. The company will be expected to comply with the latest version published within 18 months.
Note that a declaration of conformity may be updated on several occasions with respect to a single site and a single version of RGAA, for the purposes of demonstrating accessibility measures and updating the accessibility rating.
