When was Longchamp founded?

Longchamp’s story began in 1948 when Jean Cassegrain, the father of today's President, began to craft luxury leather smoking pipes. After several successful years offering the finest smoke products in France, the company began to create small leather goods and eventually expanded the collection to include women’s handbags, luggage, ready-to-wear, shoes and men’s leather collections. What began as a small smoke shop, known for its expertise and excellent craftsmanship, soon expanded to a major luxury brand.

What does the horse logo stand for?

The emblematic horse logo is a symbol of the company’s inception. There is a famous horse race track in Paris called Longchamp or "long field." Just next door was an old mill that Monsieur Cassegrain - which means "miller" in French - used to pass in front of every day. The company soon found its name: it being only a short trot from the miller and onto the race track, the way was fore trod!

When placing your order, you'll be able to choose from two different delivery methods:

Home Delivery:
Delivery will be carried out by our carrier, according to the time mentioned in the carrier tracking details.
The items are insured by us until delivery.

Delivery to Store:
Longchamp also offers the option of collecting your online order free of charge from the Longchamp store of your choice.
When making your purchase, select Click and Collect and choose the store where you'd like it to be delivered. We'll send you an email once your order is ready for collection.
You will have ten (10) calendar days to come and pick up your parcel, effective from your reception of the email confirming your parcel's arrival at the LONGCHAMP Store.
We kindly ask that you come to your chosen Longchamp Store with a valid piece of original ID and your order number.
If your order is being collected by a third party, they will have to bring both ID for themselves and a copy of your ID.

After ten (10) calendar days, you will no longer be able to collect your parcel: your order will be cancelled and the sale terminated. You will then receive an email informing you of the cancellation of your order and the possibility of renewing it. You will also be refunded the total amount of your order.
The delivery time depends on the chosen delivery method. Unless special delivery times have been specified during holiday periods, you will receive your order within :
Home Delivery: 1 to 3 working days from order confirmation.* You will receive an email to confirm the shipment and track your order.
Delivery to Store: 1 to 3 working days (depending on available stock in store) from order confirmation.
You will be sent an email once your items are available for collection from your chosen store.
Delivery can take longer during busy period.
*For personalised items, the time period between order confirmation and receipt is approximately 6 to 8 weeks.
Shipping costs are indicated in the third SUMMARY stage when placing your order.

Shipping is currently complimentary.
We are unable to deliver to any Longchamp authorised sales outlet, hotel, warehouse or PO Box, military area and base, and other restricted zones.
