Where contemporary design meets Longchamp’s leather craftsmanship, the Longchamp x Patrick Jouin lamp reinterprets the House’s iconic codes in a distinctive, portable lighting object. Designed to be carried and opened like a bag, it reveals a soft glow through delicately perforated leather. Its cylindrical silhouette combines a circular base in French oak with a cone crafted from repurposed leather, reflecting a responsible and sustainable approach to design. Inspired by Longchamp’s signature closures, the leather tab allows the lamp to be opened or closed with a simple gesture, adjusting how the light is diffused. Designed to be disassembled and sold flat in the spirit of the “Dépliés” concept, the lamp features a rechargeable LED system and a recycled and recyclable light module created by a committed French company. The battery is assembled in a workshop in Nantes specializing in battery recycling. Both functional and sculptural, this piece embodies the meeting of Patrick Jouin’s innovation and Longchamp’s heritage—a design that is beautiful, purposeful, and built to last.
