Longchamp and ANDAM: A History of Fashion and Knowledge Sharing

Among Longchamp's various commitments, supporting young artistic talent is vital for the future of creativity. For almost twenty years, Longchamp has been a partner and sponsor of ANDAM (National Association for the Development of the Arts and Fashion), supporting the emergence of tomorrow's talent.

To coincide with the 2025 ANDAM awards ceremony, Longchamp is unveiling a new chapter in its Longchamp Family series. This time, Longchamp is honouring the finalists from previous years by looking back at their careers and successes, as well as celebrating the lasting ties they have forged with Longchamp.

Welcomed by Sophie Delafontaine and Peggy Frey, these talented designers talk about their artistic development since winning the award, once gain illustrating Longchamp's ongoing commitment to young designers.

Since its creation in 1989, ANDAM has played a key role in promoting and supporting emerging fashion talent. This prestigious competition — the ANDAM Fashion Awards — has recognised top designers, and continues to support tomorrow's talent through the provision of key resources to help them develop their creativity.

Longchamp is a patron of ANDAM and Sophie Delafontaine, the company's Artistic Director, has been a member of the ANDAM Fashion Awards Jury every year since 2007. This year, the lucky winner of the Fashion Accessories Prize will not only receive a prize of €100,000, but will also be mentored by Sophie Delafontaine, who will provide special support and personalised advice for a year.

As part of Longchamp’s commitment to knowledge sharing and sustainable development, for several years it has granted competition finalists free access to the archived stock of canvases and leathers from its leather goods department. In 2024, the finalists, including Christian Heikoop (Maeden), Sarah Levy (Sarah Levy Accessoires), Meryll Rogge (Meryll Rogge) and Christine Phung (Christine Phung Design) — a finalist in 2013 — have been provided with 2,300 square metres of work space in which to express their creativity freely. In 2025, they will also be granted access to Longchamp’s archived stock from its ready-to-wear department.

“Longchamp is committed to helping up-and-coming fashion designers achieve their creative dreams. It is essential to support them, especially at the start of their careers. We are proud to offer them the opportunity to express themselves through our high-quality materials and precious leathers. I can’t wait to see their future creations.”
