Longchamp Becomes a B Corp™
-
B Corp is an independent international certification.
It evaluates the social and environmental practices of a company based on precise, measured and audited criteria.
The key principles are to recognise the standards already being met, structure commitments and encourage constant improvement. -
Because this certification allows us to better structure, measure and plan our existing approach.
At Longchamp, being socially and environmentally responsible has always been part of our long-term vision as an independent, creative and optimistic family Maison for over 70 years.
B Corp Certification provides a clearer framework for the way we create, produce and mitigate the impact of our operations. -
No. B Corp Certification won’t affect the identity of Longchamp.
Nor will it affect:
• our style,
• our creative freedom,
• our exacting quality standards.
It brings coherence to the established and lasting approach taken by our teams, in all roles and countries, and strengthens our ability to look at our designs, practices and impact through a long-term lens. -
At Longchamp, being a certified B Corp doesn’t change who we are. It simply recognises what we’re already doing and what we’ve already achieved. Like designing objects with a long-term future. Choosing materials with care. Recycling. Repairing. Sharing knowledge and skills. Taking care of our teams, being mindful of equity. Supporting creativity.
It brings coherence and structure to the established and lasting approach taken by our teams, in all roles and countries.
It also creates a framework for moving forward. For the way in which we make things. The way in which we’ll continue to create, produce and mitigate the impact of what we do. -
Longchamp’s CSR approach is based on four pillars:
• Our teams: providing equal opportunities (68% of our managers are women).
• Our commitment to society: supporting creativity and artists (donating fabric to ANDAM).
• Our expertise: selecting materials (88% of leather certified LWG Gold in 2024).
• Our planet: designing pieces made to last, be repaired and reused (75,000 items repaired in 2024).
