A faithful companion in everyday life, a leather bag adapts to every occasion, offering style and elegance while simplifying your movements.
Functional and daring, Longchamp leather bags are meticulously crafted creations, reflecting the Maison’s authentic expertise in leather.
Leather is a precious, robust, and dynamic material that naturally evolves with time. To ensure your bag lasts for generations and maintains its pristine appearance, follow our care and cleaning recommendations.
Leather improves with age. When needed, refresh your bag by caring for its material through gentle cleaning and nourishment.
Use only our Saphir colorless nourishing cream. Shake the bottle before each application. Begin with a light first layer to clean the leather, followed by a second layer to nourish and protect.
Apply the cream with a soft cloth, working in circular motions for a uniform finish. For grained leather, a clean, soft brush may be used. Please note that this process may alter the bag’s appearance slightly.
Never dry your bag near a heat source or in direct sunlight. Allow it to dry naturally at room temperature (19–25°C). Drying time ranges from 2 to 8 hours depending on the cream used.
Polishing can be done with a chamois leather or a cotton cloth.
Each leather is unique, so exercise caution before applying any product, and always follow the recommendations on our Longchamp website.
For natural leathers, allow the bag to develop its natural patina before treatment. Never wet these leathers.
To maintain the bag’s shape and structure, avoid overloading it and fill the interior with tissue paper after each use.

When your bag is not in use for an extended period, we recommend following these guidelines:
For Le Pliage® (Canvas and Leather):
Store the bag flat and unfolded.
Avoid contact with materials that may transfer color onto the bag or lining.
Keep at a room temperature of 19–25°C, in a dry place free from excessive humidity.
Never apply cream to fabric materials.Cleaning tips:
If needed, gently clean using a clean sponge or damp cloth with a small amount of mild, pH-neutral white soap and cool water. Never soak the fabric.
Natural fibers, such as coated cotton, may develop a slightly wavy appearance over time.
Dampen the entire fabric surface evenly by blotting (to prevent halo marks), being careful not to wet the leather parts.
Immediately remove the solution with a damp cloth, then wipe down the bag to remove excess liquid. The bag should be almost dry and never dripping. This step is particularly important for multicolored bags.
Drying tips:
Dry the bag upside down, with the handles facing downward.
Never dry near a heat source or in direct sunlight.
Allow to air-dry naturally at room temperature (19–25°C).
