When was Longchamp founded?

Longchamp’s story began in 1948 when Jean Cassegrain, the father of today's President, began to craft luxury leather smoking pipes. After several successful years offering the finest smoke products in France, the company began to create small leather goods and eventually expanded the collection to include women’s handbags, luggage, ready-to-wear, shoes and men’s leather collections. What began as a small smoke shop, known for its expertise and excellent craftsmanship, soon expanded to a major luxury brand.

What does the horse logo stand for?

The emblematic horse logo is a symbol of the company’s inception. There is a famous horse race track in Paris called Longchamp or "long field." Just next door was an old mill that Monsieur Cassegrain - which means "miller" in French - used to pass in front of every day. The company soon found its name: it being only a short trot from the miller and onto the race track, the way was fore trod!

Delivery methods, times and costs

When placing your order, you'll be able to choose from two different delivery methods:

Home delivery:

UPS delivers from Monday to Friday.

The items are insured by us until delivery.

You will be delivered to the address you indicated when you placed your order.

Delivery to Store :

Longchamp also offers you the possibility to collect your online order at the Longchamp shop of your choice, free of charge.

During the purchase process, select "Delivery to Store" and choose the shop where you would like to be delivered. We will send you an e-mail as soon as your order is ready in the shop.

You have a period of ten (10) calendar days to collect your package. This period starts from the receipt by you of the electronic message informing you that your parcel is available in the LONGCHAMP shop.

We invite you to go to the chosen Longchamp Boutique with an original valid ID and your order number.

If your order is collected by a third party, this person must carry an identity document in their name, as well as a copy of your identity document.

After this period of ten (10) calendar days, the collection of your parcel will no longer be possible: your order will be cancelled, and the sale will be terminated. You will then receive an e-mail informing you of the cancellation of your order and the possibility of renewing it. You will also be refunded the total amount of your order.
The delivery time depends on the delivery method chosen. Unless special delivery times are mentioned during holiday periods, you will be delivered within a maximum period of:

Standard home delivery UPS : 4 to 5 working days from order confirmation.*

Express home delivery UPS : 2 to 3 working days from order confirmation.*

Delivery to Store: 3 hours or 5 to 6 working days (depending on available stocks in the shop) from order confirmation.*

An email will be sent to you to inform you of the availability of your items at the chosen shop.

Due to the annual closure of our workshops, production and delivery of personalised orders will take longer. As a result, orders placed after 7th July will be delivered in September.

*Please note that for personalised items, production time must be added. The time between order confirmation and receipt is approximately 2 to 3 weeks.

**For Previous Collections items, home delivery and Delivery to Store 5 to 6 working days are available.
Shipping costs are indicated in the third SUMMARY stage when placing your order.

They depend on the delivery method chosen, and are defined as follows:

- UPS standard Home Delivery: 6€ on all orders less than 120€
- UPS express Home Delivery: 10€
- Delivery to Store: Free of charge

We also regularly offer free shipping, so keep an eye out for information on the product pages of our items.
We are currently unable to ship to the islands of Jersey and Guernsey. Orders addressed to any of these destinations will be cancelled. The delivery address of your order must match the country of the site on which you placed your order.
